Reconstruction and expansion of a drinking water treatment plant in the municipality of Teslić

The project is implemented within the framework of the Czech Republic's Foreign Development Cooperation Program and will contribute to the modernization, expansion and increase of the reliability of the system of production and treatment of drinking water in the municipality of Teslić through the reconstruction and expansion of the existing drinking water treatment plant (hereinafter referred to as PPPV), appropriate training of employees of the organization operating PPPV and acquainting the inhabitants of the municipality of Teslić with the principles of drinking water management and its protection. 

Following the implementation of the project, there will be an increase in the production of drinking water from the current 60 l · s-1 to 120 l · s-1, which will streamline production and related supplies and minimize outages of drinking water supply throughout the year. At the same time, it is also expected with the connection of other drinking water consumers in the municipality of Teslić. 

This will contribute to the UN development goals of ensuring universal and equal access to safe and affordable and increasing the efficiency of water use, its sustainable abstraction and supply of drinking water (UN SDG objectives 6.1 and 6.4).
