Empowering Trust and Cohesion in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Communities

Strengthening and promoting environment that is more conducive to genuine reconciliation, contributing to improved trust and social cohesion within and between communities and their leaders

The Project is envisioned in the context of a wider initiative implemented jointly by IOM, UNDP, and OSCE, in coordination with COE and with financing by the EU. Its objective is to strengthen and promote environment that is more conducive to genuine reconciliation, contributing to improved trust and social cohesion within and between communities and their leaders.

To achieve this objective, the Project will support key local/national stakeholders who have already made positive progress towards (i) creating an environment conducive to genuine reconciliation within and between communities; and (ii) further strengthening mutual confidence, trust, constructive dialogue, understanding, empathy, respect, dignity, and social cohesion within and between communities. These are vital priorities for the country’s efforts to achieve durable peace and security, to fully live up to its international human rights standards and practices; and to become an EU member.
