Municipal Anti-corruption Assessment Initiative (MAI)

At the beginning of 2018, the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina started monitoring relevant anti-corruption trends and processes within the sector of public finances in selected locations.

The monitoring of relevant anti-corruption trends and processes within the sector of public finances initiative has been developed by the Mission as part of its larger initiative to fight corruption at all levels of government. The methodology includes systematic monitoring of the work of local parliaments and co-operation with key stakeholders in local administrations. It will result in a comprehensive assessment of relevant anti-corruption processes at the local-level. The second thematic report on the findings, including identification of trends and recommendations, will be published in 2021.
